Stacey Simms is the host of the long-running and award-winning podcast Diabetes Connections and the author of “The World's Worst Diabetes Mom” book series. In November 2023 she launched a second podcast, Diabetes Connections TYPE 2.

In 2023, Diabetes Connections surpassed 2.3 million downloads.

“The World’s Worst Diabetes Mom” won Best New Non-Fiction at the American BookFest, a 2020 Communicator Award and was named to Book Authority’s 100 Best Parenting Books. Its sequel, “Still the World’s Worst Diabetes Mom” received a 2023 Mom’s Choice Gold Award.

Stacey is the organizer of Diabetes Connections presents: Moms’ Night Out, a new overnight conference for mothers of children with diabetes.

For more than a decade, she hosted Charlotte’s Morning News on WBT-AM, the city’s top-rated morning radio news show.

Stacey lives near Charlotte, NC with her husband, two children and their dog, Freckles.

Lynne Streeter Childress is an actor, director, teaching artist, and playwright. She is the founding artistic director of Building Better People Productions, a theater for young audiences company in Annapolis, MD. Her 28-year career in professional theater includes performing at the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, and Adventure Theatre and teaching for institutions like the Folger Shakespeare Library and Baltimore School For the Arts, where she is currently a member of the theater faculty.  Lynne has seen firsthand how theater can communicate the most important things in the clearest and most interesting of ways, especially to young people. She lives in Annapolis, MD, with her husband and son.
