Tis the season for holiday stop motion animation from the 1970s, as we talk the classic Rankin/Bass Christmas specials with amazing guest, Marni Penning. We discuss old faves like "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", debate which Miser brother (Heat or Snow ) had the best song, and generally laugh a lot. It was fun!!

MARNI PENNING is an award-winning actress, audiobook narrator, playwright, teacher, children's book illustrator, and proud ADHD mom who lives with her husband, son, dog, fish, and chickens in Falls Church, VA. Career includes 54 productions of 23 of Shakespeare's plays, and she has toured, taught, and coached Shakespeare for over 25 years. Ms. Penning is also a co-founder of Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, for whom she performed over 35 roles, including Juliet, Kate, Rosalind, Beatrice, and Hamlet. Lynne Streeter Childress is an actor, director, teaching artist, and playwright. She is the founding artistic director of Building Better People Productions, a theater for young audiences company in Annapolis, MD. Her 28-year career in professional theater includes performing at the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, and Adventure Theatre and teaching for institutions like the Folger Shakespeare Library and Baltimore School For the Arts, where she is currently a member of the theater faculty.  Lynne has seen firsthand how theater can communicate the most important things in the clearest and most interesting of ways, especially to young people. She lives in Annapolis, MD, with her husband and son.
