The Wisdom of Bill Murray with Rod Bourn

Master motivator Rod Bourn shares some of the inspiration he has gotten from the films one Bill Murray!

With a passion to improve people and organizations, Rod has worked in a variety of industries,

Rod is the Lead Ninja of Down Set Lead; a consulting group focused on helping organizations grow their business through training programs and leadership retreats. He is also a Director for Goldman Sachs’ 10k Small Businesses program.

Rod’s career started in HR and included positions at London Fog and Rite Aid. He then spent 10+ years as the Coordinator of Organizational Development at Harford College, where he designed, coordinated and delivered professional training and conferences; and ran 2 professional associations.

In the community Rod serves as a mentor and coach; he a board member of the Ma & Pa Rail Trail; and in 2008 founded Anna’s Guys, a collection of men who work with sheltered children. He also founded the annual Catch a Pig 5k, having raised over $100k for the local Boys & Girls Clubs.

She is the founding artistic director of Building Better People Productions, a theater for young audiences company in Annapolis, MD. Her 28-year career in professional theater includes performing at the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, and Adventure Theatre and teaching for institutions like the Folger Shakespeare Library and Baltimore School For the Arts, where she is currently a member of the theater faculty.  Lynne has seen firsthand how theater can communicate the most important things in the clearest and most interesting of ways, especially to young people. She lives in Annapolis, MD, with her husband and son.
